Matt Cutts Top Three SEO TIPs 2011: On Page Speed, 404 Error, Backlinks

If you were an SEO of a large company, what would you include in your 2011 strategy?

Matt Cutts gives us his top three tips:

Optimise for page speed
Decrease the speed that pages are returned, and website visitors may do more things on your site e.g. purchasing your products. Decrease page speed = increase your ROI.

Internal linking & CMS
Make sure you have full control of the Content Management System and make sure that your internal linking is consistent and you don’t have a load of 404 errors.

Social media marketing
Spread your content on Twitter, Digg & Stumbleupon etc. The more links you have out there, the more chance you have of someone visiting your website. These links could ultimatley influence your page rank too.

Small Suggestions in Way of Working: Hema SEO

If you have a team of people then the first thing to do is know their strengths and weaknesses related to their work. Then, if we provide each one with a task they are comfortable with and can do with ease, everyone gains enough confidence and is motivated to handle just about any task. And for unknown tasks, let the best performers to help them to get better.
Employees can schedule or fix dedicated time to each task. (For example this time to this I will work on Link Building). My point of view is if I did not organize these things it will take me much longer to get them done or they may not even get done at all.
If something new idea comes in our mind, or if we studies something new that will be more useful for our project, we can save it or bookmark it for further reference. So in future there will be no need to search for that same information again. Organize every info’ in our desktop in specific folders and name them properly. So that we can find out what it is about, without opening the files. Time Consumed.
Planning (Little bit difficult for me) – Before Starting project we can spend a time to plan the working process of that project. Coz Planning allow us to be more efficient, less pressed for time, and more flexible.
